Join our intermediate group class for adults where we will study the rhythm Djansa known as the Mother of all Mandinka Rhythms. A traditional rhythm from Mali, West Africa.

Who’s Invited: All drummers Intermediate or above
In this welcoming and structured environment, you’ll have the perfect opportunity to apply everything you’ve been learning in our weekly group sessions. These sessions are all about collaboration, communication, and building musical synergy with fellow drummers.
We’ll dive deep into ensemble performance, exploring how different djembe parts interlock to create a cohesive and dynamic rhythmic flow. A key focus will be on breaks—their timing, execution, and role in guiding the music. You’ll learn how to transition smoothly between rhythms, anticipate cue signals, and develop the confidence to hold your part while listening and responding to the group. These sessions will help you deepen your understanding of the music while having fun in a supportive and engaging setting.
